Turpentine Mulga - Acacia brachystachya

The Turpentine Mulga (Acacia brachystachya) is a large broadleaf evergreen shrub or small tree ideal for arid landscapes and gardens. This is a thornless variety with creamy white puffballs for flowers. It can almost look fernlike when young and colonizing, but will grow into thickets of full sized trees. Wattles (Acacia) can naturalize and be invasive in warmer climates. This plant can defoliate during colder winters. The native species is most common in production.
