The Feather Acacia (Acacia pennatula) is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This plant derives the name from the short leaflets on a long leaf that give it the appearance of having feathers. It has a delicate, yet structural appearance in a landscape and creates a nice dappled shade producing canopy. Wattles (Acacia) can naturalize and be invasive in warmer climates. The native species is most common in production.
