Carnival Hedge Maple - Acer campestre 'Carnival'

The Carnival Hedge Maple (Acer campestre 'Carnival') is a small deciduous tree commonly used as a hedge or screen. This variety is known for the variegated leaves. The species is often "topped" and sheared, particularly in Europe, and also used in bonsai. This plant is extremely adaptable to multiple soil types and tolerant of drought and air pollution. The leaves are prone to scorching in heavy sun and it prefers a dappled shade environment. This is a cultivated variety of Acer campestre.
