The Vine Maple (Acer circinatum) is a small deciduous tree native to forest understories in the Northwestern United States. This plant is ideal for providing shade in transitional areas at the edge of a forest. The naturalizing habit can be too aggressive for residential use. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
