Snakebark Maple - Acer davidii

The Snakebark Maple (Acer davidii) is a medium sized shade tree that has naturalized in much to the Eastern United States and is ideal for gardensand landscapes. This species has a great bark and fits well in a tight space. It's fibrous roots and lack of branching structure makes it good for building corners which also brings out the bark interest. This variety is technically an exotic and can be invasive in wooded areas. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
