The Amur Maple (Acer ginnala) is a small deciduous tree or large shrub for landscapes and gardens. This plant is extremely durable, able to survive in planters or sidewalk cut outs, yet still produce a vivid red fall color. This tree develops suckers that need to be pruned regularly to preserve the tree form. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
