Rocky Mountain Maple - Acer glabrum

The Rocky Mountain Maple (Acer glabrum) is a small deciduous tree or large shrub for landscapes and gardens found growing on forest edges throughout the Western United States. This tree provides an unmistakable burst of color in evergreen forests. This may be a native species, but it can have invasive tendencies in newly disturbed areas. The native species is most common in production.
