Nippon Maple - Acer nipponicum

The Nippon Maple (Acer nipponicum) is a medium sized deciduous shade tree for landscapes and gardens. This looks like a very naturalized plant and is one of the few larger trees tolerant of heavy shade. This plant overly showy and if using in a landscape to naturalize there are probably more appropriate native varieties. The native species is most common in production.
