Japanese Maple - Acer palmatum

The Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum) is a small deciduous tree ideal for a specimen in landscapes and gardens. An excellent structural specimen as well as for fall color. It is an extremely durable tree for such a sensitive looking leaf. This variety is often overlooked in favor of the more tender burgundy leaf varieties that don't perform as well. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
