Striped Maple - Acer pensylvanicum

The Striped Maple (Acer pensylvanicum) is a medium sized shade tree that is native to much of the Eastern United States and is ideal for gardens, landscapes. This species has a great bark and fits well in a tight space. It's fibrous roots and lack of branching structure make it good for building corners which also brings out the bark interest. This plant lacks a definitive structure when planted out in the open. The native species is most common in production.
