Five Leaf Maple - Acer pentaphyllum

The Five Leaf Maple (Acer pentaphyllum) is a small deciduous tree or large shrub for landscapes, gardens, or naturalizing. This plant has a great naturalizing habit. The five leaflets per leaf give a texture that is difficult to find in a midrange tree, and the color is exquisite in the fall. This plant is almost extinct due to habitat destruction in China and is difficult to find in production. The native species is most common in production.
