Planetree Maple - Acer pseudoplatanus

The Planetree Maple (Acer pseudoplatanus) is a medium sized shade tree for landscapes, gardens and borders. The exfoliating bark provides winter interest very similar to that of a London Planetree. This tree is very fast growing and often clumping, leading to lots of limb drop in wind and ice. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
