Red Sunset Maple - Acer rubrum 'Red Sunset'
The Red Sunset Maple (Acer rubrum 'Red Sunset') is a medium sized deciduous shade tree for landscapes and gardens. This tree is more pyramidal in shape than other Red Maples which allows for easier underplanting and turf growth. The bark can be prone to sun scald in newly planted trees. Wrapping the trunk on newly planted trees is recommended. This is a cultivated variety of Acer rubrum.
