Silver Broom Flatpod - Adenocarpus decorticans
The Silver Broom Flatpod (Adenocarpus decorticans) is a large deciduous flowering shrub ideal for landscapes and gardens. The exfoliating bark and whispy to jagged looking texture make this a nice addition to warmer gardens to contrast the leafy tropical feel. Fall color is often not reached and the foliage can look rough if it hangs on in winter until new leaves push it off. The native species is most common in production.
