Ohio Buckeye - Aesculus glabra

The Ohio Buckeye (Aesculus glabra) is a flowering deciduous shade tree for landscapes, gardens and borders. It is also hardy enough for urban use. The tree is most desired for its showy flower and durability. This is very underused and overlooked specimen. The leaves often develop rust and defoliate before reaching fall color. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
