Horsechestnut - Aesculus hippocastanum

The Horsechestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) is a flowering deciduous shade tree for landscapes, gardens and borders. It is also hardy enough for urban use. This tree is most desired for its showy flower, durability, and the smaller size than the parent species. The leaves often develop rust and defoliate before reaching fall color. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
