Variegated American Agave - Agave americana 'Variegata'

The Variegated American Agave (Agave americana 'Variegata') is a large succelent shrub ideal for for tropical and arid landscapes and gardens. Giant thick arching leaves in a rosette with flowers that can reach up to 20 feet in height. This variety is distinguished from the species by the yellow stripes lining the leaves. It can take up to ten years for this plant to bloom. Do not prune without protection. This is a naturally occurring cultivated variety of Agave americana.
