Smooth Agave - Agave desmettiana

The Smooth Agave (Agave desmettiana) is a medium sized succulent shrub for tropical and arid landscapes or gardens. This Agave is gets the name from the lack of spikes on the sides of the leaves, giving them a smooth appearance compared to others. The spikes on the tips of the leaves are extremely sharp. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
