Mimosa Tree - Albizia julibrissin

The Mimosa Tree (Albizia julibrissin) is a small deciduous flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This tree is a very fast grower with showy purple flowers and a nice horizontal habit. The species is extremely invasive and has "invaded" almost half of the United States. It has no fall color as the leaves stay green until freeze. There are more cultivars of this species in production. However, most nurseries will not carry the tree due to it's invasive nature.
