Black Alder - Alnus glutinosa

The Black Alder (Alnus glutinosa) is a Large deciduous tree for landscapes gardens, and naturalizing. This tree is notable for the flower (catkin) and cones that are uniquely displayed. It also has a naturalizing habit that can make it good for a screen. This plant has no fall color. The leaves stay green until they freeze off. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
