Shadlow Serviceberry - Amelanchier canadensis

The Shadlow Serviceberry (Amelanchier canadensis) is a medium sized deciduous flowering tree for landscapes, gardens and naturalizing. This plant has a great flower, berry, and fall color. Serviceberries are naturally found along the forest edge in partial light. Balled and burlapped trees do not transplant well. Either cut back the top when planting or plant a container grown specimen. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
