Green Manzanita - Arctostapylos patula

The Green Manzanita (Arctostapylos patula) is a medium sized broadleaf evergreen shrub for landscapes and gardens. This plant has persistent flowers in spring, evergreen leaves, and a mahogany colored bark. The foliage can develop leaf spot under irrigation. I have now looked at over 100 photos of Arctostaphylos and am yet to see one that didn't have leaf spot. The native species is most common in production.
