Marlberry - Ardisia japonica

The Marlberry (Ardisia japonica) is a ground covering broadleaf evergreen for landscapes and gardens. This plant has a lusher texture than most ground covering broadleaf evergreens and the berry is a nice addition in the fall. The old foliage will have some die-back in the spring that can be difficult to clean out. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
