Japanese Aucuba - Aucuba japonica

The Japanese Aucuba (Aucuba japonica) is a large upright broadleaf evergreen shrub for landscapes. The dark green foliage creates the shape and texture of a small holly tree but the plant grows much faster, is not as prickly, and is shade tolerant. This plant is very sensitive to drought and needs regular water. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
