Variegated Orchid Tree - Bauhinia variegata
The Variegated Orchid Tree (Bauhinia variegata) is a small deciduous flowering tree or shrub for landscapes and gardens. This plant provides a lush tropical vine feeling similar to a Boughanvilla with a flower at the opposite time of year. The flower typically holds into winter after leaf fall. The pods produced in fruiting can be exremely messy. The native species is most common in production.
