Rosy Glow Barberry - Berberis thunbergii var. atropurpurea 'Rose Glow'
The Rosy Glow Barberry (Berberis thunbergii var. atropurpurea 'Rose Glow') is a medium sized deciduous shrub for borders, landscapes and gardens that is ideal for hedging. The new leaves have a pink variegation that sets off nicely against the deep burgundy old growth. This variety has less structure than other varieties. If pruned right (not at all) this can be of benefit. This is a cultivated variety of Berberis thunbergii var. atropurpurea.
