Warty Barberry - Berberis verruculosa

The Warty Barberry (Berberis verruculosa) is a medium sized broadleaf evergreen for borders, landscapes and gardens that is ideal for hedging. The leaves can take on an almost burgundy foliage in winter. Between the leaves and thorns, this variety is even more prickly than most Berberis. The native species is most common in production.
