Mentor Barberry - Berberis X mentorensis
The Mentor Barberry (Berberis X mentorensis) is a medium sized deciduous shrub for borders, landscapes, and gardens that is ideal for hedging. This variety responds well to pruning and is evergreen in zones 7 and up. The plant is very thorny and difficult to keep clean of leaves and debris. This cultivar is a hybrid of Berberis julianae x Berberis thunbergii.
