White Barked Himalayan Birch - Betula jacquemontii

The White Barked Himalayan Birch (Betula jacquemontii) is a medium sized deciduous tree for landscape and gardens. This species has the "whitest" of the Birch barks, and is not as big as others allowing underplanting of perennials or turf. This variety is susceptible to the bronze birch borer. Expect heavy leaf drop when transplanting. The native species is most common in production.
