The Tree Wisteria (Bolusanthus speciosus) is a medium sized flowering tree for tropical landscapes and gardens. This plant is grown primarily for the Wisteria like flowers in late spring and early summer. The low branching habit is also great for climbing which is rare in arid landscapes. This plant can defoliate in severe drought and if exposed to frost. The native species is most common in production.
