Oaxaca Palm - Brahea nitidia

The Oaxaca Palm (Brahea nitidia) is a small to medium sized broadleaf evergreen tree for landscapes and gardens. This develops the classic tall palm shape with an erect single trunk and retains the dead leaves at the top to form a skirt at the base of the new growth. This species is one of the greenest of the genus. The bloom on this species is sporatic and insignificant. The native species is most common in production.
