Torote - Bursera microphylla

The Torote (Bursera microphylla) is a small deciduous tree for landscapes and gardens. This plant is most noted for the thick branches and trunk. The trunk can reach 3 feet in diameter on a 20 feet tall tree. This plant is extremely sensitve to cold and can take on damage even above freezing. The native species is most common in production.
