Green and Gold Boxwood - Buxus sempervirens 'Latifolia Maculata'

The Green and Gold Boxwood (Buxus sempervirens 'Latifolia Maculata') is a broadleaf evergreen shrub usually used for hedging but also used as a large specimen. This plant is easily controlled with pruning, but is most sought for the variegated evergreen foliage. This species should always be pruned to maintain a wider bottom than top to develop interior branching and avoid a 'splitting'apart of plant. Cultivated variety of Buxus sempervirens. Images from the parent species may be helpful in identification.
