Japanese Hornbeam - Carpinus japonica

The Japanese Hornbeam (Carpinus japonica) is a medium sized deciduous tree for landscapes, screening and naturalizing. This plant is very structural, with a red twig, great fall color and a seed show that rivals any flower. This plant is way too hard to find. The world needs more of these. The native species is most common in production.
