Shellbark Hickory - Carya laciniosa

The Shellbark Hickory (Carya laciniosa) is a native nut bearing tree that is sought most for its wood and timber. This is a solid upright shade tree that still allows for under growth. The leaf can develop a fungus and drop before achieving fall color. The native species is most common in production.
