Southern Catalpa - Catalpa bignonioides

The Southern Catalpa (Catalpa bignonioides) is a large flowering shade tree for landscapes, gardens, and naturalizing. This tree has a wonderful flower, big lush leaves, and open flowing branches that are great for climbing. The very fast growing and the irregular habit of the branching can lead to snow, wind and ice damage. The native species is most common in production.
