The Netleaf Hackberry (Celtis reticulata) is a naturalizing deciduous small tree or large shrub. This is a great for erosion control and riparian restorations. The species commonly hosts nipple gall which causes leaf drop. It also attracts flies. It is probably best not planted near the home. The native species is most common in production.
