Buttonbush - Cephalanthus occidentalis

The Buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis) is a medium sized deciduous shrub for gardens, landscapes, and naturalizing. The plant is most desired for it's unique flower and the orange color of its seed pod that last all summer and fall. This species will not grow well in dry sites. The native species is most common in production.
