Japanese Plum Yew - Cephalotaxus harringtonia

The Japanese Plum Yew (Cephalotaxus harringtonia) is a large spreading evergreen shrub for landscapes and gardens. This plant is most commonly used in cultivars, but the straight species may be the most impressive if the time and space is available. This plant needs moist, but well drained soil an is prone to ice and snow damage with age. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
