Eastern Redbud - Cercis canadensis

The Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis) is a small deciduous flowering tree for landscapes, gardens, and naturalizing. This plant has great flowers, fall color and habit. It is also easily pruned and controlled in a landscape setting. The wood can be very week, but can regrow branches from nearby suckers when they break. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
