The Forest Pansy Redbud (Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy') is a small deciduous flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This plant has all the benefits of Cercis canadensis with a burgundy leaf. This plant can die back in zones four and five with late freezes. Winter watering will help prevent this. The leaves will also turn green in the shade. This is a cultivated variety of Cercis canadensis.
