Flowering Quince - Chaenomeles speciosa

The Flowering Quince (Chaenomeles speciosa) is a large flowering shrub for landscapes, gardens and borders. It is also grown for the fruit which is growing in popularity. This plant is great in urban plantings as it is extremely salt, drought and pollution tolerant. The stems are very thorny and difficult to clean leaves and debris from. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
