Alumni False Cypress - Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Alumni'
The Alumni False Cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Alumni') is an upright evergreen tree often used for screening and hedge rows. This variety is more blue and slightly smaller than the parent Chamaecyparis lawsoniana. This variety is also susceptible to root rot, but is not being attacked like the native species. This is a cultivated variety of Chamaecyparis lawsoniana. Cone and flower photos are from the parent species to help with identification.
