Alaska Cedar - Chamaecyparis nootkatensis

The Alaska Cedar (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis) is a medium to large sized coniferous evergreen for landscapes gardens and naturalizing. When taken out of the native Northeast, this tree can be used as more of a medium sized tree in the 20-30 foot range. This is one of my all time favorite conifers as a designer. This plant has no negatives of note. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
