Strict Weeping Alaska Cedar - Chamaecyparis nootkatensis 'Strictus'

The Strict Weeping Alaska Cedar (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis 'Strictus') is a small to medium sized coniferous evergreen tree for use as a landscape or garden specimen. The extreme pendulous habit keeps this plant very narrow for specialized locations. Because of the habit, this plant does not show well by itself and looks best next to walls or corners of houses that can be used as a solid backdrop. This is a cultivated variety of Chamaecyparis nootkatensis. The needle and flower photos are from parent species and should be helpful with identification.
