Moss Falsecypress - Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Squarrosa'
The Moss Falsecypress (Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Squarrosa') is a large pyramidal coniferous evergreen for landscapes and borders. This is a tried and true sturdy performer. It's blue color and needle habit is very similar to 'Boulevard' and is often mistaken for it when young. Due to the tight needle habit and shell forming branches the interior often dies out and is extremely prickly. This is a cultivated variety of Chamaecyparis pisifera.
