The Lois Adams Desert Willow (Chilopsis linearis 'Lois Adams') is a small deciduous tree or large shrub for arid climates and landscapes. This cultivar has a flower that emerges almost pure red and fades to a tri-color blossom as it opens to maturity. It often loses the leaves to drought before achieving color. This plant is a cultivated variety of Chiliopsis linearis. Photos from the parent species will aid in identification.
