The Sour Orange (Citrus aurantium) is a small to medium sized fruit bearing broadleaf evergreen tree for landscapes and gardens. This tree is grown mainly for the aeromatic blooms. The fruit is a favorite for marmalade due to the tartness, but is a little sour for a palm fruit. This plant can reseed and become an invasive species. As a result it has naturalized much of FL, TX, and GA. This is a native species with cultivated varieties in production.
