Assyrian Plum - Cordia myxa

The Assyrian Plum (Cordia myxa) is a medium sized broadleaf evergreen fruit producing tree for landscapes and gardens. The flower and foliage on this tree are nice, but the fruit is beautiful as well. It also has lots of medicinal uses and is very tasty when fully ripe. The foliage can defoliate in colder winters, but is more likey to be found evergreen. The native species is most common in production.
