The Gold Spot Pacific Dogwood (Cornus nuttallii 'Eddiei') is a larger flowering tree for shade found naturalized along the Pacific coast. This plant has all the great habits of Cornus nuttallii with the addition of a yellow spotted leaf for season long color. The bark needs to be protected from hot sun to prevent cracking. This is a cultivated variety of Cornus nuttallii. Photos from the parent species may aid in identification.
